Help with referencing guidelines, using online referencing generators and Turnitin
An important part of the research and inquiry process is acknowledging the ideas and information that you obtain from other people. This might be through a book, a magazine or newspaper article, a blog post, a website or podcast, or even a tweet! By properly referencing your work, you avoid committing plagiarism.
Mackellar uses the APA 7th referencing system. You can access the school's policy on how to construct a reference list and correctly footnote or use in-text referencing.

Turnitin is a plagiarism detector. It can identify when you copy information from a source. Your teacher will ask you to submit your work to Turnitin and you need to look at the originality report and make sure that you have not plagiarised.
As of April 2023 Turnitin also has a built in A.I. detector. |
