8.7 Technology have worked with Ms Parsifal to create some fabulous jewellery stands that are on display in the library now. Their brief was to design and construct a jewellery stand to organise and display jewellery items. It had to be no more than 30cm in height and be free standing and stable. An important requirement for this assignment was that the stand must reflect their personality and individuality. This really comes through when they are displayed as a group. I am always amazed at the creativity of our girls and so impressed with how they can produce such high quality, individual pieces that all meet the same brief. Well done ladies!

Year 9 Child Studies assessment tasks are on display in the Library this week! Mrs De Angelis' class had to design a nursery and take care of an egg to simulate the responsibilities of a new born baby. The assignment lasted for a week and the students had to document their experiences in a journal. With trips to the beach and going out to the shops, it seemed like an eventful week for the girls and the eggs. We particularly enjoyed reading about the adventures of Eggbert, Eric, Lily, and April. The girls did an eggcellent job (Sorry! Couldn't resist this terrible pun.) and all of the eggs lived happily ever after. |
